“At the center of your being
you have the answer;
you know who you are
and you know what you want.”
– Lao Tzu
Some of our greatest ideas and realizations come from our dreams. During a peaceful night’s sleep, the body is repairing itself on a cellular level and integrating the events of the day. In astrology, the planet Neptune is all about our dreams and the ocean of the unconscious mind. By bringing more awareness to our dream life, we begin to activate our own healing process and inner knowing. We receive intuitive guidance and soul messages through our dreams as well.
To dream of water represents your emotions. Is the water turbulent, full of movement, rhythmic or serene? Your conscious awareness directed toward your dreams will give you insight into your soul which often communicates in subtle messages, symbols, and archetypes.
As empathic healers and Earth Angels, it is integral to our overall well-being and self-care to make sure we are getting quality, restful sleep that is nourishing and restorative. Otherwise we feel like something is off, and we are not operating at our fullest, high-vibrational capacity.
To make sure you are getting the most rejuvenating sleep possible, limit or eliminate substances like caffeine, sugar, alcohol and drugs which can bring our sensitive systems out of balance. Overeating can also disrupt sleep because the body is using more energy during digestion which could be better conserved during rest. It’s all about being in harmony with our body’s natural rhythms, cycles and needs. Eating mindfully throughout the day will ensure that your body is receiving the nutrients it needs. It’s best not to eat a several hours before bed. A calming cup of herbal tea like chamomile or honey lavender may become your favorite bedtime ritual, or the perfect contemplation time for your morning meditation!
Other ideas to get the most restful sleep are to make your bedroom as dark as possible, which assists your body’s natural production of melatonin, the hormone that drifts your body to sleep and regulates your circadian rhythms. Create a crystal grid near your pillow with Amethyst and quartz to assist your dream time healing. Give yourself enough time to wind-down after your busy day, and turn off your electronic devices ideally an hour or two before bed. Use an aromatherapy diffuser with some calming essential oil like rose, lavender, or jasmine. I also like to place a drop or two of essential oil on my wrists before I drift off to sleep. Another lovely practice to activate your dream time healing is to set the conscious intention, before falling asleep, to remember your dreams. Ask to be aware of when you are dreaming! Your guides and angels can assist your intention to activate your dream space where you can play in the astral realm and ask for guidance in your daily life.
